This episode we are joined by Rachael Neumann, a self-confessed startups superfan and founder of Working Theory Angels which is a new model to expand both the number of Angel Investors and the quantum of Angel investment capital. She serves on the board of StartupAus and has held top level roles at Amazon Web Services, Eventbrite amongst others. She serves on the Council of Trustees for the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and is a prominent strategic advisor and investor to a number of startup founders through Startmate and more.

Rachael Neumann plays across many parts of the startup ecosystem, recently as the founder of Working Theory Angels - a new angel network designed to mobilise more investment into early stage startups and attract new investors to the space and previously as Head of Startups in Australia & New Zealand for Amazon Web Services.

She is a  strategic advisor and investor to a number of founders and their early stage companies and is a Partner in Startmate, Australia’s most ambitious accelerator. She also works to create the right policy environment that’s conducive to a thriving sector, serving on the Board for StartupAus - Australia's national startup advocacy and lobby group.

Rachael was the Managing Director of Eventbrite Australia, and also served as Eventbrite’s Director of Customer Experience Strategy in Silicon Valley after a stint as a Case Team Leader at Bain & Company in Silicon Valley and throughout Australia, advising Technology, Private Equity, Consumer Products and Retail businesses.

Matching her passion for startups is her love for modern art, and she proudly serves on the Council of Trustees for the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV).
